The spouse of the President of Armenia Mrs. Nouneh Sarkissian attended today the Ikebana and Sumi-E calligraphy lessons and Japanese tea ceremony which were held at the Yerevan, My Love Foundation.
Mrs. Sarkissian stressed the importance of holding such events in Armenia and noted that they serve to expand horizons.
“Ninety percent of those present are kids: they are a growing generation, they are keen to learn about the world, the learn the ways other nations live their everyday life. Children can be educated by learning about traditions of other nations. I encourage to hold such events often,” Nouneh Sarkissian said.
The event was organized by the Embassy of Japan in Armenia and “Hikari Armenian-Japanese scientific and educational center” NGO.
